What this site knows about you.
This is my personal site. It has no accounts, no payments, and nothing to sign up for. Here is exactly what happens with your data, in plain terms.
No cookies
This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser's local storage or session storage. That is also why there is no cookie banner: consent rules cover storing things on your device, and this site does not store anything on it.
Analytics
I use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages get read and whether the site is fast. Both are cookieless. They report aggregate numbers like page views and load times. Vercel processes visitor IP addresses to work out an anonymous visitor count, and does not hand me your IP address. I cannot tell who you are from any of it.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, it collects your name, your email address, the kind of enquiry, and your message. That gets emailed straight to me through Resend, which is the service that delivers the mail. I use it to read your message and reply. I do not add you to a mailing list, because I do not have one.
Who else sees it
The site is hosted on Vercel, so your request passes through their infrastructure. Contact form messages pass through Resend and land in my email inbox. Those are the only third parties involved.
I do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run any ad or tracking network. There are no tracking pixels and no embedded third-party scripts. The fonts are served from this domain, not from Google.
How long I keep it
Contact form messages stay in my inbox the way any email does. If you want yours deleted, ask me and I will delete it. Analytics data is aggregate and is not tied to you, so there is nothing personal in it to remove.
Your rights
I am based in Nairobi, so Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 applies, and the GDPR applies if you are in the EU or UK. You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will action it. There is no process to go through, it is just me.
